Visceral Work
Visceral manipulation is a gentle hands on therapy to the internal organs of the body, such as the liver, stomach, intestines, and even the respiratory system. Manual therapy to these organs helps these organs to regain optimal function, which can then release restrictions elsewhere in the body (including the muskuloskeletal system), as well as any unhealthy compensations that cause pain or dysfunction. Addressing the underlying cause of pain and dysfunction will not only do a fantastic job for those symptoms, but also regain optimal health to the body as a whole.

Visceral work can be beneficial to people suffering a wide range of issues, from heartburn to irritable bowel syndrome, endometriosis to dysmenorrhea, gall stones, asthma, incontinence, constipation, or just any vague abdominal or pelvic pain. There are some contraindications to the work, mainly surgical interventions such as mesh or stints, so its best to talk to me about your condition first to see if it’s a good fit.
